Summer Solstice Gathering
Well, it's nearly fall and I am finally getting around to uploading pictures from the summer solstice dinner Dalanna Haldeman (@mrs.haldeman) and I hosted at my home back in June. Truth is, I took the summer off from any of my nursing grad work, so I barely touched my computer the last few months which was wonderful and much needed.
Dalanna worked on crafting a wonderful and delicious menu for the event, and I focused on the flowers and table scape. Her menu included the most amazing charcuterie board, 2 fresh salads, roasted chickens over a bed of polenta, muscles she cooked over a large caldron using St. Bonafice's Pollinator for the sauce, and delicious night/day desserts that represented the longest day of the year.
I gathered flowers from foraging and from local farmers, Eli from Lancaster Farmacy and Marci from Riverside Blooms. The results were various white blooms with pops of green, orange, and yellow. I also envisioned utilizing navy blue and gold accents, which were tied together beautifully in the place cards created by Alana from Bow and Arrow Calligraphy. Imagine Goods also contributed beautiful napkins for the place settings.
Now on to the photos which were captured by the talented and charming team from Redfield Photography (John and Marisa). Thank you so much for the amazing photos! And thank you to everyone who joined us on this beautiful evening. We hope to bring you all another collaboration soon! xo-jess
