About

I first remember my love of florals in fourth grade when I stated I wanted to be both a florist and a forensic scientist. While my initial bachelor’s degree is in Fine Arts, I pursued a second career in nursing. I began working on floral design and arrangements while working in the ICU to balance the sterile environment I encountered daily and nourish my deeply deprived creative side. I started taking pictures of my designs to capture the fleeting nature of flowers. Much like the cycles of human existence I witnessed in the hospital, there is an order to things within flowers and nature that must be appreciated and revered at every stage. I found florals and photography particularly comforting during the pandemic as I worked on a COVID unit and began my Doctorate of Public Health, which I completed in the fall of 2024 after three and a half years!!

I believe the colors and beauty we see in nature create the ultimate palette.

I love studying the texture of the petals, the curves of the leaves, and the browning of the corners as wilting sets in. It is a celebration of the cycles that occur for us all, as nature intended.
